The device comprises a hook which can be pivoted using a hydraulic tool and which is secured to a movable end of an arm in a machine tool. Snap-fit connections on the hydraulic hoses connected to a hydraulic cylinder in the work tool are swung by the hook so that they engage with corresponding fixed snap-fit connections on the end of the arm. A mechanical catch can fix the hook into position.
