<p>Down pipe at the water inlet end is reduced in funnel-shaped manner, as well as being enlarged in diffuser-like manner at the water outlet end. The cross-sectional area of the down pipe in the intermediate part is approx. equal to the quotient of the volume of the amount to be removed and the discharge speed depending on the height of the down pipe. All occasions where large quantities of water are to be removed in draining machines of any type. Especially applicable to wet suction devices and vacuum-foils of long screen table paper making machines for circular screen draining machines.</p> |
