<p>A liquid crystal projector, a liquid crystal panel, and a liquid cooler for cooling efficiently by a liquid cooling cycle to realize no disorder of a video image thanks to liquid refrigerant passing over the translucent surface of the liquid crystal panel. Light from a light source (112) is divided into three parallel beams, which are passed through liquid crystal panels (101(R), 101(G) and 101(B)) of R, G and B and subjected to intensity modulation. The modulated beams are combined in color by a combining prism (119) and projected through a projection lens (127) to obtain a video image. In such a liquid crystal projector, each liquid crystal panel (101) has a high-resistance channel of liquid refrigerant between protective glass plates (4, 5) disposed oppositely to an opposing substrate (1) and a TFT substrate (2) constituting the liquid crystal panel, and further has a buffer part contiguously thereto or has a low-resistance auxiliary channel around the periphery thereof. Each channel consists of a channel having a uniform thickness of "D" and covering the flat liquid crystal panel region, channels having a smaller thickness of "d" provided upstream and downstream therefrom, and buffer channels provided further upstream and downstream therefrom.</p> |
