FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves heating steam condensate on water bath to 60°C, wetting cotton fabric with it and placing the fabric on injured body area, covering it with film and coating with warm material. Variant No1 has sparing nature, application temperature is 30-34°C, a procedure is 15-25 min long. Variant No2 is of moderate mode, application temperature is 34-38°C, a procedure is 20-30 min long. Variant No3 is of moderate mode, application temperature is 38-42°C, a procedure is 25-35 min long. The prescribed time being over, the application is cancelled and the injured area is coated with warm dry material. The patient takes at least 1 h long rest. The total procedure number is equal to 6-21. Steam applications are alternated every other day with general and/or local steam-and-air baths or with general dry air baths or with general steam baths. ^ EFFECT: wide range of functional applications for treating joints. ^ 5 cl |
