FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology, amino acids. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing L-histidine that is prepared by culturing microorganism of genus Escherichia with the enhanced activity of any enzyme taking part the conversion of 5'-phosphoribosyl-4-carboxamide-5-aminoimidazole to inosine-5'-monophosphate. Then the prepared L-histidine is isolated from the cultural fluid.
