FIELD: dentistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: reinforcing frame pin has to be passive pin used for restoration of cutting teeth of upper jaw, canine teeth, single-rooted premolars, upper and lower molars destroyed lower than level of jam. Reinforcing frame pin for restoration of tooth is made of gold-plated metal mesh and has root and above-root parts. Root part of pin has tubular shape with longitudinal slot or flat shape with chamfered angles and is made of double layer of mesh. Above-root part is made in form of free wires of mesh, which have lengths being equal or smaller than crown part of tooth. Length of root part of pin is equal or longer than 1/3-1/2 length of tooth's root. ^ EFFECT: ability to keep root of tooth when tooth is seriously destroyed; improved strength of construction; prolonged life of tooth. ^ 4 cl |
