SHOT BLASTING PLANT FOR CLEANIG OF METAL ARTICLES

A shot blasting plant shown in Fig.1 is intended for cleaning of metal articles in the course of their production and/or repairs from scale, rust and old paint coats. The plant contains chamber (1), bunker floor (2), shot classifier 6, filters (7), fans (8), chokes (13 and 14). Bunker floor (2) is intended for collection and pneumatic removal of used shot. Classifier (6) is intended for separation of shot from dust and delivery of such shot for reuse. From classifier (6) the mixture of dust and air comes to filters (7) for cleaning, after that clean air is delivered by fans either to the atmosphere or back to chamber (1) for reuse. The bunker's floor (2) provided with fans (8) and chokes (13 and 14), simultaneosly with removal of shot, effects general ventilation of chamber (1). The floor (2) can be partially disconnected depending on overall dimensions of processed articles. The plant is highly efficient due to the above-described characteristics. The part of the floor, exposed to passage of shot blasting flow during the cleaning process, can be protected from abrasive wear. Besides, cleaning of filters (7) can be ensured through the change of air flow direction owing to maintenance and repair costs of plant are reduced.
