An acceleration and inclination measuring apparatus using thermal convection of fluid is provided to simplify the configuration of the measuring apparatus by removing a motion structure from the apparatus. Fluid is contained in a container(10). First and second heating elements(21,22) are arranged in the container. End portions of the first and second heating elements are electrically connected to each other to form an apex(23). A heating material(20) is heated by a current, which is applied to the other ends of the first and second heating elements. A thermal-electric pair(30) has a thermal-electric pair joint(33), which is contacted with the apex of the heating material. The thermal-electric pair is arranged in a point-symmetrical shape with respect to the heating material. The voltage between both sides of the thermal-electric pair is measured to calculate the temperature of the apex of the heating material. The apex temperature is used to calculate an acceleration in a virtual straight line passing through the apex and an inclination with respect to a gravity of the virtual straight line. |
