The invention is aimed to provide a system for personal authentication by collating personal biological information wherein a burden on a customer is reduced in continuous transactions and an unauthorized transaction by an operator is prevented. In continuous transactions involving personal authentication by collating biological information, the result of authentication at the first transaction is held, and the next transactions are performed based on the authentication result. An effective period is set for the authentication result held, and the result is taken over only for the effective period. The customer load for authentication at every transaction can be reduced, and an unauthorized transaction by an operator can be prevented. |
