PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of flutter or harshness by controlling the driving force of wheels. SOLUTION: The brake force/driving force controller comprises electric motors 11a-11d for driving right/left and front/rear wheels Wfr, Wfl, Wrr and Wrl, respectively, a controller 22 (brake force/driving force control means), and forward/rearward acceleration sensors 21a and 21b (forward/rearward exciting force detection means). The controller 22 calculates a driving force or a brake force to be applied to a wheel depending on detected forward/rearward acceleration of each front wheel. For a forward exciting force generated in the wheel, a brake force of the same magnitude as that of the exciting force is applied to the driving force at the time of traveling and for a rearward exciting force generated in the wheel, a driving force of the same magnitude as that of the exciting force is applied to the driving force at the time of traveling thus reducing the exciting force and suppressing generation of flutter. Generation of harshness of each wheel can also be suppressed by providing forward/rearward acceleration sensors 21c and 21d and reducing the forward/rearward exciting force of the rear wheel.
