Two blanks (1, 2) are bonded by an adhesive layer (5) while rotating about an axis (A). The adhesive is cured by UV radiation (R1, R2, RR) impinging on the surface and the edge of the blanks. The intensity of radiation is controlled through a computer program to reduce distortion due to differential expansion. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for bonding DVD blanks including such control. A single or multiple UV light source can be used, together with plane or concave mirrors that can be steered through a controller.
