<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup apparatus provided with a light source wherein a plurality of light emitting spots with different wavelengths are closely arranged to each other and capable of applying both recording and reproducing light from a light emitting spot with any wavelength at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup apparatus includes: a 2-wavelength semiconductor laser light source 1 provided with the plurality of light emitting spots 2, 3 with different wavelengths arranged closely to each other; a light receiving sensor 14 for receiving a light reflected in an optical disk 12 to produce an electric signal; and an optical system for condensing the lights emitted from the light emitting spots 2, 3, guiding the collected light to the optical disk 12, and guiding the light reflected in the optical disk 12 to the light receiving sensor 14, and the optical system is configured to include a filter 8 for respectively converting the lights emitted from the light emitting spots 2, 3 into lights having prescribed luminous intensity distributions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
