<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of obtaining a print result providing ease of read while reducing the number of printouts by permitting printing with the number of layouts corresponding to the number of pages to be printed. <P>SOLUTION: The printer is provided with: a maximum number of print pages designation means for designating a maximum number of pages printed on one paper when an automatic page layout function is selected; a total number of page acquisition means for acquiring a total number of pages printed actually; the number of pages comparison means for comparing the maximum number of pages designated by the maximum number of print page designation means with the total number of pages acquired by the total number of pages acquisition means; the number of layouts setting means for setting the number of layouts printed on one paper on the basis of a result of the comparison by the number of pages comparison means; and a print means for printing the paper according to the page layouts set by the number of layouts setting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
