<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup apparatus for improving reproduction of a recording signal from an optical disk, accuracy of focus servo control of an objective lens and track servo control by eliminating stray light made incident onto a light receiving element of the optical pickup apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup apparatus passes a laser beam emitted from a laser light source 11 through a polarization beam splitter 13 to be guided to an optical disk DK, a reflected light from the optical disk DK is reflected in the polarization beam splitter 13 and guided to a photodetector 22. Then a polarization beam splitter 21 is provided between the polarization beam splitter 13 and the photodetector 22. The polarization beam splitter 21 transmits only the reflected light from the optical disk DK to be guided to the photodetector 22 and reflects lights other than the reflected light from the optical disk DK. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
