IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND CAPSULATED ENDOSCOPIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of improving the efficiency in observation and diagnosis by determining whether or not the image of a subject is inappropriate for the observation and diagnosis so that the image determined to be inappropriate should not be displayed or stored.

SOLUTION: The image processing method comprises a characteristic quantity computing process for computing the quantity of characteristics of each image for a plurality of images including a plurality of color signals obtained by imaging the subject, and an imaging state determining process for determining the imaging state of each image by comparing the computed quantity of characteristics and a threshold of the imaging state to determine the appropriateness of a predetermined image.
