<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake operating mechanism in an auxiliary brake device of an automobile capable of preventing the mounting of an operation cable on a brake arm from interfering the stepping operation in the auxiliary brake device of the automobile in which an auxiliary brake pedal is stepped in by pressing the brake arm via the operation cable. <P>SOLUTION: In the auxiliary brake device of the automobile to convey the braking force to a brake operating mechanism to operate a brake pedal provided at a driver's seat via an operation cable by stepping in the auxiliary brake pedal provided on the auxiliary brake mechanism placed on a floor at a front passenger seat, the brake operating mechanism comprises a mounting piece to be mounted on an arm part of the brake pedal, a mounting plate extending upwardly from the proximal side of the mounting piece, and a turning plate which is pivotably attached to a pin provided on an upper portion of the mounting plate, extends downwardly with its lower portion connected to the operation cable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
