PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp driving device in which electric power of two driving parts connected to the discharge lamp is balanced. SOLUTION: In the discharge lamp driving device 10, a master driving part 40M is connected to one electrode of the discharge lamp L, and a slave driving part 40S is connected to the other electrode. The respective driving parts are composed of transformers TM, TS, and capacitors C1M, C1S connected in parallel to secondary winding wire parts of the transformers. Impedance characteristics of the respective driving parts have frequencies of which at least the impedances become approximately equivalent in a frequency band from a first frequency which takes the minimum value up to a second frequency which is lower than the first frequency and which takes the maximum value. The discharge lamp driving device turns on the discharge lamp taking this frequency as the driving frequency. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
