PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of preventing a positioning member from giving bad influence to operation of a conversion mechanism even when the positioning member of a deceleration mechanism is moved. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device 10 has an electric motor 46 for generating steering assistance force; a steering shaft 12 connected to a wheel 24; the deceleration mechanisms 40, 50, 52 for decelerating rotation of the electric motor 46; the conversion mechanisms 30, 32 for converting output rotation of the deceleration mechanisms 40, 50, 52 to movement in an axial direction of the steering shaft 12; a gear housing 42 penetrated with the steering shaft 12 and storing the deceleration mechanisms 40, 50, 52; and the positioning member 60 for positioning the deceleration mechanisms 40, 50, 52.
