PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent under shooting of a change gear ratio in which an engine speed is reduced to fuel recovery rotation. SOLUTION: In case it is decided that it is other than a range D at 42, it is decided that leg release is not effected at 43, it is decided that it is a high speed at 44, it is decided that it is not up shift at 45, it is decided that a deviation ¾eip¾ between a final target change gear ratio and a transition target change gear ratio is higher than a set valueαat 46, a time constant T of the transition target change gear ratio to the final target change gear ratio is computed as usual at 47. In case it is decided that up shifting is effected during low-speed run in a range D at 42-45 and after it is decided that it is ¾eip¾<αat 46, the time constant T is increased to a value higher than usual. Therefore, in case leg release up shifting speed change in a rage D is effected, the variation speed of the transition target change gear ratio is reduced in the end of a gear change where the deviation ¾eip¾ is reduced to a value lower than the set valueα, under shooting of the change gear ratio in which an engine speed is reduced to recovery rotation can be prevented from occurring.
