PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption effectively. SOLUTION: A charging electric apparatus comprises a motor switch section 56 being inserted into the power supply line of a motor 42 in order to control rotation thereof, a drive control section 58 for controlling operation of the motor switch section 56, a power supply switch section 62 operating to supply power from a secondary battery 20 to the drive control section 58 in response to operation of a trigger switch 44, and a section 22 for detecting overdischarge of the secondary battery 20. The motor 42 is rotated by operating the trigger switch 44 when the secondary battery 20 is not in overdischarge state, and rotation of the motor 42 is disabled even if the trigger switch 44 is operated when the secondary battery 20 is in overdischarge state.
