PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device wherein a sealing material can be stably filled in an end face of a sidewall to increase reliability of sealing. SOLUTION: SED has the sidewall 6 in a shape of a rectangular frame wherein peripheral edge parts of a front face substrate having a phosphor screen and a back face substrate having an electron emission element are jointed. An upper end face 6a whose sidewall 6 faces the front face substrate is bent so that its center is projected towards the front face substrate. Thereby, when the indium filled in the upper end face 6a of the sidewall 6 is melted it flows along the slope, and indium can be prevented from dropping from a central part of a long side.
