PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamper whereby an amount of deviation caused when the stamper is overlapped with a substrate for an information recording medium can be minimized. SOLUTION: The stamper 30 forms a coating film on a disk substrate 10 by extending a coating material between the disk substrate 10 and the stamper in a state that the stamper 30 is overlapped with the disk substrate 10 in the middle of which a cylindrical projection 13 is formed, and a center hole 33 is formed to the stamper 30 in a way that the diameter L33a of the opening edge of the center hole 33 at the surface 32 opposed to the disk substrate 10 is nearly equal to the diameter L13a at the maximum diametrical part (base end part) of the cylindrical projection 13.
