PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension PDM system allowing easy design change processing in cooperation with a PDM main body system having a PDM database and easy notification of the design change processing when the design of a component is changed. SOLUTION: This extension PDM system 10 is provided with the PDM main body system 100, a PDM design change system 200 and the like. A CPU 201 of the PDM design change system 200 acquires database about a component as a target of design change from the PDM database D in the PDM main body system 100 having the PDM database D managing component information and component configuration information in a tree format. The CPU 201 carries out design change processing on the data about the design change target component in the acquired database.
