PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for fiberizing and pulverizing high viscosity slag, with which the shape of the high viscosity slag is improved, and a fibrous material and/or powder having high added values can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for fiberizing and pulverizing high viscosity slag, having a melting chamber, an atomizer, and a recovering chamber, the atomizer has a molten slag discharging nozzle and a fluid jetting nozzle, and the fluid jetting nozzle is arranged at a position close to the molten slag discharging nozzle, where it is possible to apply a fluid atomizing method to molten slag, or the atomizer has the molten slag discharging nozzle, the fluid jetting nozzle, and a rectification guide having low thermal conductivity, which is provided between the molten slag discharging nozzle and the fluid jetting nozzle for fluid jetting, and the fluid jetting nozzle is arranged at a position close to the rectification guide, where it is possible to apply the fluid atomizing method to the molten slag.
