PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of being equipped with a bottom stopper screwing part, while maintaining strengths of a rod tube. SOLUTION: In this fishing rod, a butt rod 1 is mainly composed of two layers of rod body prepregs (rod body layers). The rod body layers of the butt rod 1 are mainly composed of a first rod body layer 11 which has a pair of end parts and comprises a relatively inner layer, a second rod body layer 12 which has a pair of end parts and comprises a relatively outer layer, a screw thread-formed layer 13 which is joined to and positioned at a rear end part of the first rod body layer 11, a reinforcing layer 14 which is positioned over a region including a bottom stopper screwing region X of the second rod body layer 12, and a reinforcing layer 15 which is positioned inside the first rod body 11.
