The invention relates to a method and a device for forming a container (19) from a thermoplastic plastic. According to said method, a heated preform blank is pre-expanded by feeding low-pressure blow-moulding air from a low-pressure air supply (5) and is blow-moulded into its final shape by the subsequent feeding of high-pressure blow-moulding air. The high-pressure blow moulding air that flows from the finished blow-moulded container (19) is fed to the low-pressure air supply (2b) during a transition phase by means of a commutation (11). The pressure is monitored in the vicinity of the low-pressure air-supply (2b) and after the transition phase the container is de-aerated in relation to the ambient pressure. The pressure of the low-pressure air supply (2b) is controlled by varying the duration of the transition phase. |
