A casing (12) has a retaining shaft, into which a safety fuse (200) can be inserted and can in turn hold a fuse link (220). A switch lever (80) operates an on-/off-function and covers the retaining shaft and the upper part of the safety fuse. The switch lever rotates on bearings on the casing and has a carrier (82) that swings a second end (64) of a switch rod (60) into a switched-on position. An independent claim is also included for a multi-polar switch safety system with two or more switch safety units.
