<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery in which the lead element which connects an electrode terminal to the electrodes of an electrode group to the electrode of the electrode group at a good state. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes the electrode group having an anode, a cathode and a separator, a casing in which the electrode group is contained, and a cap assembly mounted in the casing while a terminal for the anode and a terminal for the cathode are installed. The anode and the cathode each has the plain color part of a site which does not have an active substance. The terminal for the anode and the terminal for the cathode each is electrically connected to the plain color part of the anode and the plain color part of the cathode. W<SB>1</SB>is formed wider than W<SB>2</SB>, where the W<SB>1</SB>is the width of the electrode group, and the W<SB>2</SB>is the width of the plain color part of the cathode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
