<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time and labor required for maintenance etc. in a system for guiding persons in facilities. <P>SOLUTION: The walk navigation system comprises an IC tag 12 carried by a person to be guided; transmission/reception devices 14 arranged at prescribed locations of a building for communicating with IC tags by radio; announcing devices 18 for announcing a direction in which the person to be guided should proceed by speech and/or images to the person to be guided; and a control unit 16 for controlling the speech and/or images of the announcing devices on the basis of information read from the IC tag by the transmission/reception devices.
