<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ticket medium whose ticket type is easy to identify, when a coin-shaped contactless IC token or the like indistinguishable in shape is used as the ticket medium, and to provide a processing apparatus for the ticket medium. <P>SOLUTION: The ticket medium has color change parts 3 formed in thermochromic ink whose color change temperature characteristic shows hysteresis characteristic, on the outer faces of a coin-shaped token body 2 of a contactless IC token 1, and the color change parts 3 change color, when heated and return to the original color when cooled.
