PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film transfer implement which enables easy and sure erasure of a character string of a prescribed length and minute portions. SOLUTION: The coating film transfer implement 10 is provided with a tape let-out length regulating mechanism 20. Thereby the range of rotation of a letting-out core 24b is regulated and consequently the let-out length of a transfer tape is regulated, so as to enable erasure of the character string of a prescribed length and the minute portions. The tape let-out length regulating mechanism 20 is constituted of a gear 25 rotating integrally with the letting-out core 24b, a tape let-out length regulating member 26 engaging with the gear 25 and a rotation regulating part 28 of the member 26. The implement 10 is provided with a reversal preventing member 27 of the gear 25 and with a mechanism for canceling the operation of the tape let-out length regulating mechanism 20, so that the reversal of the gear 25 is prevented and that a normal transfer operation can be performed.
