PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning method for a broadcast receiving terminal having a function of receiving broadcast by television, radio or the like and carried by a person or moved by a car or the like by which airwaves receivable with a high reception sensitivity can be easily tuned by a simple tuning operation even when reception condition changes. SOLUTION: Physical channels of receivable broadcast waves and the reception sensitivity level of each of the physical channels are obtained by a broadcast wave condition acquisition means and a channel selection list is created/updated. When channel selection is instructed by a user, only broadcast waves with high levels of reception sensitivity are treated as objects of selection from the channel selection list by a broadcast wave selection means and a broadcast wave to be received is selected.
