PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone and its manufacturing method ensuring work efficiency of assembly task and capability for designing simultaneously. SOLUTION: This method is for manufacturing a portable telephone having a component formed by electrically connecting electronic circuit boards 41, 42 with a flexible cable 43, and a hinge 30 having a structure of rotating at a predetermined axis of rotation. The hinge 30 has a structure in which one of the ends of a front case 20 is located perpendicularly above one of the ends of a front case 10 when both the front cases 10, 20 are open. The flexible cable 43 is put in a cavity which hinge semicircular portions 31, 32 form. In the method, the electronic boards 41, 42 are put on both the front cases 10, 20, the flexible cable 43 is put in the cavity, one end of the flexible cable 43 is put in a hole formed in the end of the front case 20, a protective cover 50 is attached to the end of the front case 20, and the hole is covered.
