PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unprotected state alarm system that can prevent possible harm to a person to be protected from a surrounding vehicle by notifying the vehicle that the person to be protected is in an unprotected state away from the protection of a protector and warning the driver of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The unprotected state alarm system 50 comprises a master unit 10 with a unique identification code ID1 assigned, and a slave unit 20 communicatively connected to the master unit 10. The master unit 10 transmits the identification code ID1 continuously at least for a fixed time. The slave unit 20 monitors the reception state of the identification code ID1 and, if determining that it is apart from the master unit 10 by a predetermined distance or longer, generates an alarm signal ALM including predetermined identification information and transmits the alarm signal to a surrounding vehicle mounted with an on-vehicle unit 30 communicatively connectable to the slave unit 20.
