PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a printing method capable of performing printing on the surface of a flexible sheet material such as a T-shirt. SOLUTION: The T-shirt 20 is put on the surface 11a of a supporting base 10 in a manner that makes the outside droop from the edge of the outside periphery, a frame plate 13 is put thereon, the part 20a of the T-shirt which is put on the surface 11a is made to tightly contact the surface 11a of the support plate and held flatly. The supporting base 10 is put on a transfer box 4. The transfer box 4 is transferred by a transfer unit 2, and the surface 20a of the T-shirt transferred is printed by the inkjet head of a head unit. Since the T-shirt 20 can be held flat by the frame plate 13, an image without a warp or omission can be printed. Since the support base 4 can be transferred in the transfer box 4, even an evil effect such as catching of the outside periphery 20b of the T-shirt drooping from the supporting base 10 in printer parts will never occur.
