PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a buckle device allowing an improvement in assembling work between an anchor plate and a buckle body without deteriorating connecting strength between them. SOLUTION: In the buckle device 10, a pair of engaging pawls 88 formed on tips of the anchor plate 86 is fitted into a pair of engaging holes 90 formed in a bottom plate part 20 of the buckle body 18. The tips of the anchor plate 86 and the bottom plate part 20 of the buckle body 18 are fastened by a rivet 92. Load applied between the buckle body 18 and the anchor plate 86 is distributed to the rivet 96 and engaged parts between the pair of engaging pawls 88 and the pair of engaging holes 90. The pair of engaging pawls 88 is formed so as to project toward only one side of the thickness (a direction of an arrow D) of the anchor plate 86. Thereby, when the anchor plate 86 is attached to the buckle body 18, the pair of engaging pawls 88 is inserted into the pair of engaging holes 90 only by placing the tips of the anchor plate 86 on the bottom plate part 20 of the buckle body 18 in the thickness direction.
