The device for the lubricating of rails, especially guide rails in elevators, comprises a housing (1) with a connection (11) for a lubricant dispenser, and an application element (2) wetted with lubricant, whereby the application element is installed in a yoke-form section of the housing. The application element consists of a one-piece, elastically deformable, porous foam component (4) which has a U-shaped cross section consisting of a cross member and two sides. A spring element acts upon the two sides.
