The system has electronic units that can be coupled to a common bus system containing at least one control unit (10) configured to undertake a master function in relation to further coupled electronic components. Electronic components that are coupled to the bus system are automatically activated if a minimum configuration of electronic components is coupled to the bus system. An independent claim is also included for a method of activating an inventive system.
