<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loop type heat pipe having high heat transporting capacity and superior startability even when it is used in a top heat mode. <P>SOLUTION: In this loop type heat pipe wherein an evaporating portion heated from the external and a condensing portion 5 mounted at a position lower than the evaporating portion 3 and diffusing heat to the external, are communicated with each other by a vapor pipe 9 and a liquid returning pipe 8 to form a circular flow channel, and working fluid 10 evaporated by being heated and condensed by radiating the heat, is sealed inside of the circular flow channel, a first wick 11 communicated with the liquid returning pipe 8, and a second wick 12 generating capillary pressure smaller than that of the first wick 11 by having an opening width of a space inside larger than that of the first wick 11, is mounted along an inner face of the evaporating portion 3 in a state of being communicated with the first wick 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
