<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize deploying behavior of a curtain air bag to cover a window part on the side of a car body of an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: A non-deploying part 55 to which gas is not introduced is provided between a gas introducing passage 31 of the air bag 1 formed by sewing a base cloth and a rear seat protection part 34. A first section part 45 between the non-deploying part 55 and the gas introducing passage 31 and a second section part 46 between the non-deploying part 55 and the rear seat protection part 34 are connected to each other by a connecting part 56. The connecting part 56 is formed circular arc by sewing the base cloth. It is possible to stably and speedily deploy the air bag 1 at a specified position by restraining oscillation of the rear seat protection part 34 in deploying the air bag 1 by the connecting part 56. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
