IMPROVED SILICATE-BASED PHOSPHOR AND LED LAMP USING THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved silicate-based phosphor used as an optical converter in a light-emitting apparatus which can be excited in an ultraviolet light area and blue light area of optical spectra.

SOLUTION: The improved silicate-based phosphor has improved surface characteristics by a specific treatment processes in various nonaqueous solvents and the phosphor is selected from a group consisting of an orthosilicate phosphor, a metasilicate phosphor and a disilicate phosphor each having improved optical spectrum. The illuminant can nearly reach each color temperature and in the illuminant, light-emitting intensity and excitation characteristic are remarkably improved, compared with those of general silicate phosphor.
