PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excessive rotation preventing structure for a rotation supporting mechanism, having no torque cross while securing a low profile with no need for space in height, and to provide a portable remote terminal. SOLUTION: The excessive rotation preventing structure for the rotation supporting mechanism comprises a rotation stopping means for stopping the rotation of a cover journaled to a body at the same opening position during positive or reverse 180°rotation in a planar direction by moving one locking member to a movement restricting position for mating the opening position when rotating the cover in the opening direction to lock the locking members of the body and the cover corresponding to each other at an opening position corresponding portion.
