PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a wide range of programs stably without being influenced by a temporary change in receiving state. SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver 10 receives digital broadcasting wherein signals of a plurality of programs are multiplexed with a different broadcasting method via a front end 23. From the received digital broadcasting, the broadcast receiver 10 determines whether the same program is broadcast by different broadcasting methods (simultaneous broadcasting). According to the current position detected by a navigation device 22, the broadcast receiver 10 selects an optimal broadcasting method by referring to receiving level map information DB34 wherein information on an optimal broadcasting method for each area is stored, and then outputs the same program received by the optimal broadcasting method.
