PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for realizing smooth message transfer between operating systems (OS). SOLUTION: Message transfer control between the OSs is performed by executing a mapping state switching process of a message area in a physical address space in a multi OS environment from a message area of a logical partition address space of a message transmission side OS to a message area of a logical partition address space of a message reception side OS. Moreover, a socket correlated to a file descriptor is generated, a virtual file 524 accessible via the socket is set, and transmission and reception of a message by applying mapping of the virtual file 524 and the message area 511 of the physical address space is performed.
