PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio signal coding/decoding method and its device with which playback is conducted with superior audio tone quality, without loosing the high frequency region by reducing the number of frames having similarity with respect to audio signals through time axis change. SOLUTION: The following processes are included, i.e., a coding process in which the degree of similarity is decided for every frame of inputted audio signals and compressed to a time axis, and a frame time axis changing flag is generated and a decoding process, in which audio signals compressed by the frame time axis change flag are decoded through time axis expansion.
