PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkoxylated epoxide-amine adduct suitable for production of a water-based or solvent-based pigment concentrate (a pigment paste), and also suitable for stabilizing a granular solid in a binder, a coating material, a plastic and a plastic mixture. SOLUTION: The alkoxylated epoxide-amine adduct is produced by reacting (A) a mono- and/or polyepoxide having at least eight carbon atoms with (B) a primary and/or secondary amine, and/or a primary and/or secondary alkanolamine, and/or a secondary alkylalkanolamine to afford an adduct having one or more secondary hydroxy groups, and subsequently alkoxylating the adduct with (C) an alkylene oxide.
