PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy duty pneumatic tire assuring enhancement of the durability and suppression of the deformation of a bead part compatibly. SOLUTION: A bead core 20 is formed from a first bead core 30 and a second bead core 40, and the carcass end 3 is pinched by the first and second bead cores 30 and 40. Thereby a stress concentration near the carcass end 3 is reduced, and a damage around the carcass end 3 is reduced. The second bead core 40 is furnished with a step 43, and the center of gravity 45 of the second bead core 40 is positioned nearer the inside in the tire radial direction and eccentrically toward the inside in the tire width direction, and thereby the center of gravity 21 of the whole bead core 20 is also positioned eccentrically in the direction like described above. Thereby the rotation of the bead core 20 is suppressed to lead to suppression of the deformation of the bead part 10, and levitation of a bead toe 65 can be suppressed.
