PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exclude the problem that an uncoated web is involved in a fresh winding core at the time of replacement of a product roll in a production form wherein a coating solution is applied to the surface of the web W delivered from a raw web roll to travel at a feed speed V by a first coating means and subsequently applied to the back of the web W by a second coating means provided at a position separated from the first coating means by L1 while the coated web is taken up by the winding core provided at the position separated from the second coating means by L2. SOLUTION: At the time of completion of the delivery of the web W from the raw web roll, the coating of the web W by the coating means is completed and the raw web roll after the completion of coating is replaced with the fresh raw web roll, the coating by the first coating means is started while allowing a support to continuously travel, the coating by the second coating means is started after the elapse of T2, the product roll is replaced with the fresh winding core after the elapse of T1, L1 and L2 are adjusted so as to become T1>(L1+L2)/V at the time of T2≤L1/V and T1 and T2 are adjusted so as to become T1>T2+L2/V at the time of T2>L1/V.
