<p>The invention relates to a broadband mechanical phase shifter which produces several phase-shifted signals from an external supply signal, which are each applied to a series of antennas, such as to produce a radiation pattern as a result of the radiated field interference. The purpose of the invention is to provide an increased range of aiming angles using projections or screws serving as capacitors or short circuits which suppress the higher modes generated in the phase shifter, and to prevent part of the mutual coupling between the L-lines of the phase shifter. Given the greater length of the L-lines, said lines are reinforced with a flange that is perpendicular to the maximum dimension of the line, at the outer edge of each L-line. In addition, the invention comprises L-line support means which minimise vibrations, buckling and deformations. Said L-lines also serve to increase the frequency with which the higher modes appear.</p> |
