<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce contents data in such a data form that the contents data can not be reproduced by a reproduction client device. <P>SOLUTION: A conversion enabled client 101 has a function for reproducing contents data in a data form B, for example, and if contents data of the data form B are inputted from a network or a recording medium, these contents data are reproduced to output a contents reproduction signal. Furthermore, if contents data of a data form A are inputted, a request signal of conversion into the data form B is transmitted to a conversion server 201 together with the contents data of the data form A.
